White to move, so it's leeky's turn – check back later! (last mover: CopperyMarrow15)

Hi, leek! Hope you're having a good one. Just stopping by, originally because GalliumBot was having trouble pulling DYK viewstats for August 5th due to weird shenanigans on the stats site — but looks like that got resolved on its own, so I guess now I'm here to say hello and to commend you for GalliumBot's task names ("transclusion ferrier and mover" made me laugh out loud)! The bit on your userpage about finding community through DYK was also heartening, as I'm relatively new to Wikipedia editing and finding actual community has felt challenging so far. Cheers & hope to see you around more. SunTunnels (talk) 04:20, 9 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Why thank ya, SunTunnels! spent much time mulling over those names, glad they gave you a chuckle :D theleekycauldron (talk • she/her) 21:39, 10 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

There is a glitch on this page for the Erdős–Moser equation hook caused by the equals sign. Template:DYK stats table row thinks that a parameter called "... that the only known solution to the Erdős–Moser equation is 1 + 2 " is being called. The solution is to replace "=" with "=". I tried to change this myself, but was automatically reverted. Could you replace this in wherever the bot's pulling its hooks from?--Launchballer 17:33, 14 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

DYK Question

[edit]

Hey Leek! Hope you're doing well! I just wanted to check in and ask regarding the acceptability of an extension regarding a DYK, per the guidelines. A nominator wanted to nominate their article past the 7 day deadline and I just wanted to check whether there are guidelines per who is eligible to request an extension, or if it is available to all. Ornithoptera (talk) 22:42, 15 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, Ornithoptera! One or two days late is usually fine, just leave a note on the nomination page somewhere. Three or four is usually pushing it, five or more almost never happens. Hope this helps :) theleekycauldron (talk • she/her) 22:45, 15 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the quick response! I really appreciate it! Seems like the nominator left a note regarding that so that's good! Thank you so much for your time and I hope you have a wonderful day! Ornithoptera (talk) 22:48, 15 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
