Party Name

[edit]

The party name is incorrect. It’s the Democrat party not democratic. This is the party of myself and past generations of my family. Please have this corrected. 96.61.193.114 (talk) 17:45, 21 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Important notice

[edit]
This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in Uyghurs, Uyghur genocide, or topics that are related to Uyghurs or Uyghur genocide. Due to past disruption in this topic area, the community has authorised uninvolved administrators to impose contentious topics restrictions—such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks—on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, expected standards of behaviour, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on these sanctions. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

A warning

[edit]

The whole Israel-Palestine topic area is under WP:1RR, meaning that you can make only one revert (including manual reverts) per 24 hour period. Your reversions regarding antisemitism/anti-imperialism in the infobox are problematic, as edit warring of any kind is heavily discouraged in the topic area, on threat of sanctions at WP:AE. Bluntly, you need to tread carefully. Hemiauchenia (talk) 04:47, 11 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

What do you think should be done then? When different users are making the same unproductive edit that goes against the decision made on the talk page, what am I to do other than restore the talk page's decision and point them towards it? Pdequation (talk) 05:04, 11 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Making a post on the talkpage is usually the best idea. Hemiauchenia (talk) 05:17, 11 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Right, but if the users making the edits looked at the talk page, then they wouldn't have made the edits in the first place. And either way (assuming the new talk page section reaches the same conclusion), I would have to make the second revert. So then it is only a question of making a second revert to enforce the talk page now or some time later. Although if this is really how the rules are to be read, I guess I have no choice but to comply from now on, so I will.
(Also, regarding your first comment, in my defense, I'd like to note that I did not make a second revert with respect to the anti-imperialism point. No discussion has happened there on the talk page, so I'd have no justification) Pdequation (talk) 05:23, 11 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
