What Happened to JTWC?

[edit]

Why are their forecasts taking a backseat? They have a bit more cretability and experiance than the random weather offices (RSMC status aside) scattered throughout the southern hemisphere (the Australians are pretty good though...) -- Hurricane Eric - my dropsonde - archive 04:28, 22 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I would imagine due to the primary mission of the JTWC is to warn and protect the assets of the United States and Department of Defense. --Holderca1 14:10, 24 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Todo

Information for all storms. Jdorje 20:00, 12 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Nothing more, I guess! It's now a dab page. RaNdOm26 14:21, 2 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Capitalization

[edit]

The capitalization of terms is inconsistent in this article and some other similar ones. For example, "southern hemisphere" is both capitalized and lower-case in the first few sentences here. Also in the lead section, "tropical storms" doesn't need to be capitalized (except, of course, the first word when beginning a sentence). And so forth. Someone needs to go through these storm related articles and make the capitalization consistent (and correct). (I would fix this article but the job is bigger than a single article, so that's why I'm posting this here.) - dcljr (talk) 17:38, 28 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
