Quotes

[edit]

I challenge anyone to defend the "Quotes" section. Other, far more colorful Marvel characters don't have it, and these particular quotes don't seem to me to even be very illuminating. --Stellmach 22:58, 27 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Weather control?

[edit]

I was just wondering who put in that spiel about vampires controlling weather? In all my years of interest in the supernatural I have never once encountered this mythos, and can only assume it comes from one person having read one story. Oxymoron 02 12:52, 23 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"There are such beings as vampires, some of us have evidence that they exist. Even had we not the proof of our own unhappy experience, the teachings and the records of the past give proof enough for sane peoples. I admit that at the first I was sceptic. Were it not that through long years I have trained myself to keep an open mind, I could not have believed until such time as that fact thunder on my ear.`See! See! I prove, I prove.' Alas! Had I known at first what now I know, nay, had I even guess at him, one so precious life had been spared to many of us who did love her. But that is gone, and we must so work, that other poor souls perish not, whilst we can save. The nosferatu do not die like the bee when he sting once. He is only stronger, and being stronger, have yet more power to work evil. This vampire which is amongst us is of himself so strong in person as twenty men, he is of cunning more than mortal, for his cunning be the growth of ages, he have still the aids of necromancy, which is, as his etymology imply, the divination by the dead, and all the dead that he can come nigh to are for him at command, he is brute, and more than brute, he is devil in callous, and the heart of him is not, he can, within his range, direct the elements, the storm, the fog, the thunder, he can command all the meaner things, the rat, and the owl, and the bat, the moth, and the fox, and the wolf, he can grow and become small, and he can at times vanish and come unknown.

Fair use rationale for Image:Morbius33.jpg

[edit]

Image:Morbius33.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

"Flight"

[edit]

From reading the Lizard and Spidey vs. Morbius story, I got the impression that Morbius does not actually posses the power of flight, but rather that he can glide with the wind due to his skeleton (and presumably his whole body) being extremely light. Correct me if I'm wrong, correct the article if I'm right. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.231.70.129 (talk) 19:28, 14 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Morbius in the Blade Movies

[edit]

Is Morbius really in the bonus features in Blade? I couldn't find him in the original movie. Is it perhaps the bonus features in Blade 2? Arnabdas (talk) 17:26, 5 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It's in the La Magra link. 96.250.227.76 (talk) 03:54, 6 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Source for "radiation vampire" reference

[edit]

Regarding this reference

Thomas said in 2009, adding that part of the character conception came from an unspecified science-fiction film of Thomas' youth, depicting a man turned into a vampire by radiation rather than magic.

I believe the film is this one: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atom_Age_Vampire

Combining References

[edit]

Can someone please combine Reference 21 with 14, Reference 53 with 27 and Reference 54 with 49? I've tried to do it and can't figure it out. Thanks!Malcolmlucascollins (talk) 09:19, 10 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Malcolmlucascollins: done. You can look at how I've done it, or read WP:REFNAME to see how it's done. Argento Surfer (talk) 11:42, 10 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

No of pseudo-vampires?

[edit]

Under 'Powers and abilities' it states (and lists) that "There have only been six instances where Morbius's bite has turned other individuals into pseudo-vampires:", but then under 'Enemies and allies' it states that Dr Crown was bitten and turned, and he is not included in the list of 6 under 'Powers'. 194.28.124.55 (talk) 04:42, 11 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Morbius, the Living VampireMorbius (character) – Per WP:CONCISE, and potentially also WP:SUBTITLES. Currently, the title "Morbius (character)" redirects to a disambiguation page, which doesn't make much sense considering that there is only one character named Morbius that has a Wikipedia page. Relisting comment: Are we agreeing on being the primary topic to dominate the Morbius article, while the DAB page moves to a disambiguation page—Morbius (disambiguation). Safari ScribeEdits! Talk! 06:22, 12 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I think that makes sense. Di (they-them) (talk) 16:54, 12 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I believe that is the most preferable and accurate approach for this. Trailblazer101 (talk) 18:55, 12 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
