Branding

[edit]

It's actually "Pittsburgh CW," not "Pittsburgh's CW." Just look at the logo. It sounds like the latter when you speak it, but the station has clarified to me via email the correct way of saying it. Burghboy80 21:57, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

digital broadcast

[edit]

Re the info on WPCW channel 11 - does that mean that WPCW will not have a digital broadcast until February 17th, 2009? Because otherwise how are they going to broadcast on channel 11 when that's currently in use by WPXI? Is there going to be a sudden switchover? Am I not understanding something? Ariel. (talk) 08:12, 19 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

WPCW's digital signal is currently on channel 49. From my understanding it will be a sudden switchover.Jgera5 (talk) 02:46, 20 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
They are assigned 49, but they are not actually broadcasting on it. That's why I'm so surprised, because unless they are allowed to keep broadcasting on analog 19 after Fed 17, 2009, there will be no transition/overlap time for them. Ariel. (talk) 05:24, 20 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Anchors

[edit]

While it hasn't been debated in the context of the Wiki discussion page, it has been determined by a number of editors that the anchor lineup of WPCW, since it is identical to KDKA-TV, ought to be simply linked from the WPCW page to the KDKA-TV page.

Any thoughts? Burghboy80 (talk) 14:46, 27 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, but with the caveat the you need to mention something about it on the KDKA page. I clicked the link, and got set to the KDKA page, which was confusing, since I though I was reading about WPCW. Ariel. (talk) 23:19, 30 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on WPCW. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:
