Honestly, I think that the entire category tree is overcategorization. I would strongly encourage you to slow down and engage with the people posting warnings about your category changes. Nominator's rationale: Looking at this category, I would have expected to find officials of precolonial states of the Serer people such as the Kingdom of Sine. However, the category instead contains two articles about diplomats who represented Senegal in international organisations (Jacques Diouf and Cheikh Tidiane Gadio). Serer ethnicity is not even mentioned in article body, so WP:OCEGRS clearly applies. The articles are already present in ‹The template Category link is being considered for merging.› Category:Senegalese diplomats, so nothing to merge.
