Rollback

I have been patrolling recent changes and combating vandalism for a little over a month. I've been primarily using Twinkle and I would like to request rollback privileges to use other tools such as Huggle. I understand the importance of leaving users a notice whenever their edits are reverted. Jiffles1 (talk) 22:30, 13 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I see that you are failing to consistently warn editors when you revert their edits (e.g. 1, 2, 3). Why? It's important to leave a notification for every revert you make. Are you aware that we have tools such as Twinkle or Ultraviolet that make this extremely easy? -Fastily 09:25, 16 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi there! Thanks for responding. I believe I left warning messages for the three reverts you cited (here, here, and here). In all three cases, I used Twinkle to generate the messages because, as you noted, the tool makes the process extremely easy. Admittedly, I was bit inconsistent in leaving warnings when I first started combating vandalism, but I have been quite diligent about it over the past couple of weeks. If I’m missing something or doing something wrong, please let me know and I’ll correct it going forward. Jiffles1 (talk) 11:17, 16 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
My apologies, you are totally correct. I misread the edit summaries for those reverts. Appreciate the clarification,  Done -Fastily 09:29, 17 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I had this as admin, I would still find it useful. Naomi Amethyst 03:11, 16 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I have used Twinkle to revert vandalism mostly from the recent changes page for a while now and warn users afterwards. Twinkle is not sufficient for me on longer articles because of my sluggish internet connection. Reverts I make with Twinkle may take up to ten seconds, even with ethernet connected to my router. Rollback permissions would be greatly appreciated to make edits faster and save time. I can be trusted with rollback permissions as I have been actively reverting vandalism with a few breaks for school since July 2023, consistantly warning editors with the templates that Twinkle offers. I understand what is and what is not vandalism, and believe that I have what it takes to be trusted with the rollback tool. Thank you, ItsCheck (talk) 03:10, 17 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Not done you've barely made any reverts since I declined your previous request. I've told you this before: please spend at least a month actively patrolling RecentChanges (Twinkle & Ultraviolet can help with that) before reapplying. Also, please ensure that you are consistently warning editors when you revert their edits. -Fastily 09:29, 17 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
