Timezones

[edit]

Due to the everlasting problem of timezones I propose that the Participants for this would leave the times they're available, right here. This way it would be easier to discuss when the next recording session will be. is a timezone converting tool if you need help

Existing episodes up on archive.org

[edit]

Hey all,

When I was at Wikimania in Haifa this year, James F. gave me copies of all the Wikipedia Weekly files on a USB stick. They've been sitting on my hard drive since, but I finally got around to putting them all up online again. They are all here on archive.org. Enjoy!

Beware, some of them are corrupted, so if you find any that are corrupted, please post about them below and maybe other people can find copies that they've downloaded and we can get a full back catalogue of episodes. If you want to, you can always transfer them to Commons or whatever else the license allows. —Tom Morris (talk) 21:54, 31 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks a lot, Tom! I had already downloaded the latest one from there while wikipediaweekly.org is down.
It would be nice to have the OGG versions available too, which could be uploaded directly to Commons.

Latest episodes on archive.org?

[edit]

I can't find episodes 107 and 108 on archive.org

Is there anyone here who can track them down? Or anywhere else I can download audio files for my digital music player?

--Hroðulf (or Hrothulf) (Talk) 21:36, 1 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Me too. I don't know if you are able to track how many people listen to the podcast, but you should know that there are at least a few of us. Thanks, SchreiberBike talk 21:51, 1 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
[edit]

In episode 105, you mentioned a new course at a Washington college structured around student edit-a-thons. Please post a link. --Hroðulf (or Hrothulf) (Talk) 12:24, 2 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Found it! diff. Should it be in the education program course list? --Hroðulf (or Hrothulf) (Talk) 13:01, 2 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

109

[edit]

109 is coming up, but I can't see the etherpad. I would like to add Wikimania to the agenda. ϢereSpielChequers 00:19, 6 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Status of the Podcast

[edit]

I just recently began listening and see that it ended in 2017 with ep. #127. Why was it discontinued? Will there be any new episodes of the podcast? I really love the podcast and would love to help get it started again! Ajshul<talk> 17:20, 21 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
