- A cypress (any of the coniferous trees in the genus Cupressus), especially the Mediterranean species Cupressus sempervirens, also known as aitosypressi, in English, graveyard cypress, Italian cypress, Mediterranean cypress, pencil pine, Spanish cypress, or Tuscan cypress.
