how am I just learning this crayon trick? | how am I just learning this crayon trick? | By The Midwest Ladies | I'm going to cover the top of the crayons just like that. It's probably about a half a cup. I'm going to take some vinegar. Just dilute the sugar enough. That's probably good. Like some salt. And that's going to counteract with the sugar. Okay? So just a little you don't just kind of like a pinch. Wanna make sure that every crayon is covered though okay? You're going to take your hands. Mix them because you can see like there's a bunch of sediment here at the bottom like this. You want to make sure that really covers the crayons. You see that? See all these broken pieces? This is going to be revived. And your toddler's going to use them once again. So then you want to pat them down. Make sure most of the surface is flat. Warm water from your kettle. And we're going to tap the crayons. Just slowly but surely. And you want them just the water level just above the crayons. Just like that. You want them all submerged. So they're floating around a little bit. Let it sit. Let it counteract. All of the paper is coming off. Because of all of the concoctions that we put in there. Look at this. It's just coming right off. Let me show you. So you take this. And then this is going to happen as they continue to soak. The salt and the sugar and the vinegar is really going to help take all of those wrappers off. So this is what you're looking for. You're looking for just the crayon part. And ditch all of these wrappers. And just like that. All of your crayons have lost their labels. Gonna get like a silicone ice cube tray. And you're just going to break up the crayons all different colors and put them in each of the little ice cube trays. So break them up. You don't want them too tall. Like this one this see this yellow one it's sticking out. It's too tall. Okay so take it. Break it. Just like that. So like I said you don't want it to go above. Slide it on a baking sheet. And you're going to come into the oven. We want a 275 degree oven. Right in like that. So then you're going to take a wooden skewer. Anything like this would work. If you don't have this a knife would also work. And you're really just looking for those squiggly lines. Alright as you can see they are completely dried. So we're just loosening up the sides. So you can see it all coming apart right here. That beautiful color. Look at this one. It's beautiful yellow. So, I would take a knife and I would cut it just like that and you can see the inside. Look how amazing that looks.
